Leading small groups can seem like a difficult task. By following these tips you'll be on your way to an informative and life transforming session in no time.
Listen
Be a guide for the group, but remember you are not the only one in the room. Listening to your group is just as important as speaking to them. Finding out what their ideas and life story's are is a wonderful way to help you formulate future session ideas.
Practice
Make sure you are well versed in the subject before the session. Research passages that might relate, look for current events and trends that you can reference during class. Go over the materials a few times before the group arrives.
Facilitate
Don't just talk to the group, facilitate questions and discussions. Think of questions you can ask throughout the session that will help get the comments flowing.
Remember your purpose
These small groups are about God and not about you so be humble and knowledgeable.
